Best Dubstep - A Skrillex Timeline
You all have undoubtedly heard that one of the best dubstep artists Skrillex has made it in 5 Grammy nominations. He obtained nods for categories such as Best New Artist, Best Dance Recording, Best Short Form Music Video, Best Remixed Recording, and BestDance/Electronica Album. For some dubstep fanatics it can be upsetting because many of them dont approve his music being designated as dubstep. While it can be true, he is not nominated for dubstep, rather he is nominated for dance and electronica. So while you may hate it, he may without a doubt be the mainstream discovery that the style needs to boost popularity.

Oh wait what is that? ....you don’t want dubstep to be bigger? …….Too late

Dubstep is huge, and it's definitely going to get bigger. With many of the great collaborations that is to be expected from this, I think we should sit back and enjoy the ride. On that note lets take a small trip down Skrillex lane and view a few of his best dubstep songs.

Back in the day, not in the Digital Mystikz days, instead just a few years back, Sonny Moore dropped a hammer on the genre with his first EP titled Bells, followed up with Gypsyhook in 2009. Here is a tune from Gypsyhook titled Mora -

    Mora - Sonny Moore

Screech forward in TwentyTen when Sonny Moore becomes Skrillex and the EP named My Name is Skrillex makes a splash which covered the entire continent of Dubstepia. This is a track from My Name is Skrillex called the same -

Skrillex - My Name is Skrillex

Here is a awesome tune from the same album titled Fucking Die 1 -

    Skrillex - Fucking Die 1

Later that year Skrillex drops Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites with the same titled song reaching over 47 million views at the time of this writing on YouTube.

Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites - Skrillex

Also from that same album comes the almost as popular tune Kill Everybody -

    Skrillex - Kill Everybody

Coming into TwentyEleven and Skrillex releases More Monsters and Nice Sprites including a major hit titled First of The Year (Equinox), that just so happens to be one of his few music videos -

Skrillex - More Monsters and Nice Sprites

So with all this success comes love and hate, which side are you on?
